One of the people who inspired me to follow my dreams and become a teacher is my lovely grandmother. She is sweet, kind, caring, and determined. When I was a little girl, I spent as much time with my grandparents as I could. She has always been a huge part of my life, and as a little girl, I always wanted to be just like her when I grew up. She spent majority of her life teaching, and inspired me to do the same. When I was young, I always told her that I wanted to be a teacher, just like her. I have always known that, and her encouraging words are a huge reason why I am pursing this career.
My Dad and brother are another source of inspiration. My Dad has taught me to be have a positive attitude, to pursue my dreams, and to be kind to others. My brother has taught me how to be responsible, how to put another before yourself, and the importance of treating people with respect. They have shaped who I am, and I they continue to inspire me each day. They have a huge influence on who I am as a person, and who I am as a teacher. All of the qualities that I have gained from having them in my life will benefit me throughout my teaching journey.
I am so lucky to be part of such a wonderful group of people. In such a short time, they have taught me so much. Whether it be through their contributions to groups discussions, the insights they bring to class each day, the work they put into their projects and presentations, and the meaningful conversation we have each day, they continue to teach me something new each day. Their thoughts and ideas have helped me develop as a teacher, and as a person. They inspire me each and every day, and I am so thankful to be on this journey with them.
